Stokes Environmental Associates, Ltd. (SEA) provided industrial hygiene services at a large-scale food production facility in western Virginia. The purpose of the investigation was to evaluate the purity of compressed air used in the food production area of the facility.

Testing of compressed air for particles, water vapor, and oil content was performed in accordance with ISO 8573 – Compressed Air Specification.

SEA determined the concentrations of particles detected during testing and concluded whether or not each parameter exceeded ISO Purity standards. SEA worked with the client to identify the source of particles causing exceedances of the self-imposed air purity standard, and offered several recommendations to the facility.

SEA has maintained a consistent record of performing annual air purity assessments at the dairy since the initial inspection in 2018.
