The cargo vessel Dali, which collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, MD, on March 26th, 2024, has recently moored at the Virginia International Gateway in Portsmouth, VA, on June 25th, 2024. In preparation for further actions and repairs, Stokes Environmental was engaged to conduct a Pier Condition Survey at the site.
Our team meticulously photo-documented the condition of the concrete pier to which the Dali is secured, capturing nearly 300 detailed photographs. This thorough documentation provides a comprehensive record of the pier’s condition prior to Dali’s arrival, ensuring clarity and precision for the project ahead.
Despite this being a novel undertaking for our team, we approached it with the same commitment to thoroughness and accuracy that defines all our projects. These efforts are part of our broader mission to support the restoration efforts for the Dali and contribute to maritime safety and environmental sustainability.
