Two types of microbiological samples are typically taken: Aerosol and Bulk

Aerosol Samples

Aerosol Samples

These are taken using either a 7- or 4-Plate protocol. Plates are sample media coated with a type of agar designed to enhance either fungal or bacterial growth under specific conditions.

Bulk Samples

Bulk Samples

These tests generally consist of one of three types, each meticulously designed to address specific areas of concern: water, solids (such as carpet, wallboard, insulation), or surface swabs (wipe).
