DESCRIPTION:This 8-Hour OSHA Lead Awareness for Managers and Safety Professionals training program is designed to help companies comply with OSHA Lead Standards (29 CFR 1910.1025 & 1926.62). During the class\, you will learn the proper work practices to prevent lead-based paint exposure for your workers and occupants of the building you are working in. This training is for individuals involved in the oversight of tasks where lead may be disturbed\, especially for custodial\, maintenance\, and trades persons who will conduct operations which may contact or disturb lead in buildings. It is intended to review the source and history of lead\, and the health effects associated with lead exposure. Abatement work that is not conducted by a Certified Lead Abatement Worker under direction of a Lead Abatement Supervisor is subject to heavy fines by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or applicable Authorized State Lead Program. \nThis Lead Abatement Worker Initial course is offered in-person\, and includes both training and certification for lead abatement workers. Certified abatement firms must have certified Lead Abatement Workers on site who have completed lead abatement training & certification from an approved provider\, and have processed the necessary paperwork with the EPA or Authorized State. Training concludes with the required Lead Worker course certification exam.
